Loosen Your Belts, Taste of Chicago is Under Way!

If you like eating great food and listening to live music (and if you don't, well, we can't be friends), you have got to make your way down to the Taste of Chicago which starts today, June 30, and runs through July 9, 2006.

The Taste of Chicago features over 300 food items served up by 70 restaurants and food vendors. What I love is that each booth offers small "Taste" portions -- perfect for grazing and trying a bigger variety of all the different cuisines on hand.

Besides stuffing your face, Taste of Chicago has plenty of live music. Not only are there plenty of local and regional acts, the main stage at the Petrillo Music Shell this year is featuring nationally known performers such as The O'Jays, Liz Phair, Fountains of Wayne, India.Arie, and Macy Gray.

It's not a Chicago summer without a visit to "the Taste", so make sure to get yourself down there! If you see a 6' 3" bald guy walking around with a giant turkey leg in one hand and a wild boar sausage in the other, say hello, it's probably me.
