Missed the Grant Park Fireworks? Here's a Second Chance

Tuesday July 4, 2006

Did you miss out on the fireworks last night at the Taste of Chicago? Don't feel too badly, the ground was all wet from the rain earlier in the day and it was about 90% humidity -- yuck! Now I know what it's like to watch fireworks in the rain forest...

But today, today's looking perfect -- sunny, 80 degrees, the humidity is going down, should be a much more pleasant evening for the 4th of July fireworks at Navy Pier. The Navy Pier display is admittedly smaller, but with the combination of a great patriotic soundtrack, Lake Michigan, and a carnival-like atmosphere, it's still a great time.

What: Fourth of July fireworks at Navy Pier
Where: 600 East Grand Avenue
When: July 4, 2006, 9:30 p.m.
