More Cheap Parking at O'Hare Airport

Thursday July 20, 2006

In a sign that air travel is returning to pre-9/11 levels, Chicago's O'Hare Airport has permanently opened remote parking lot F which will free up almost 3,000 more parking spaces.

Lot F was closed shortly after the 2001 World Trade Center attacks because of the decrease in airport traffic. It has been opened sporadically to handle overflow parking from the other remote lots. The reason this is such great news is that if you're a disciplined traveler who can get to the airport early to allow ample time for having to take a shuttle bus and people mover to your terminal (about 45 minutes to an hour total), you will be rewarded with a budget daily rate of $9 -- the cheapest of all the lots at O'Hare.
