Jammin' at the Lincoln Park Zoo

Friday July 21, 2006

One of the great things about summer in Chicago are all the fantastic outdoor concerts that happen throughout the city. One of my favorites is the Lincoln Park Zoo's annual "Jammin' at the Zoo". It's a casual environment with general admission and lawn seating, and a very unique venue to see some well known national acts. This year's "Jammin' at the Zoo" features Collective Soul (July 28, 2006) and They Might Be Giants (August 25, 2006).

You can buy tickets either by visiting the zoo's Gateway Pavilion between 10am - 5pm every day, by phone at 312-742-2283, or purchase tickets online. Some things to consider when ordering:

  • Tickets ordered by phone or online will not be mailed, and will be available for will call pickup
  • Will call tickets will only be available for pick up on the night of the concert
  • Tickets ordered by phone or online cannot be held under another name
  • Hard tickets are issued if you purchase them at the zoo's Gateway Pavilion
  • There is a $2.00 "convenience fee" added for each ticket ordered online
  • Photo ID is required at will call
  • What: "Jammin' at the Zoo"
  • Where: Lincoln Park Zoo, South Lawn
  • When: Collective Soul - July 28, 2006; They Might Be Giants - August 25, 2006. Gates open at 6 p.m., show starts at 7 p.m.
  • Admission: Adults: $20, Children 4-12: $10, children 3 and under are free

Please note, no outside food or beverages, cameras, recording devices, or pets are allowed.
