Chicago Chinese New Year Parade in Brief:
The Chinese New Year Parade celebrates the Lunar New Year (this year it is the "Year of the Ox, 4707") and marches right through the middle of Chicago's Chinatown.

Parade steps off at 1 p.m.
Where:
Along Wentworth from 24th Street to Cermak Road
Admission:
FREE!
Getting to the Parade by Public Transportation:
CTA Red Line Train to Cermak-Chinatown stop
Parking at the Parade:
There is street parking (off the parade route of course) and two paid lots at 21st/Wentworth and 24th/Wentworth. These lots are guaranteed to fill up quickly and early.
Taxi/Cab to Parade:
A taxi from downtown to Chinatown will run between $10-15.

Chinatown's Chinese New Year Parade celebrates the Lunar New Year -- this year is the "Year of the Ox, 4707". This colorful parade features marching bands, elaborate floats, Miss Friendship Ambassador, lion dance teams, and a 100 foot long paper dragon made out of silk, paper, and bamboo.
