Chicago, with its home on Lake Michigan and wonderful skyline, provides visitors with some great scenery. The flat prairie land on which Chicago was built makes it possible to sometimes see for up to 80 miles on a crystal clear day from certain vantage points. Here is my list of some of my favorite views in Chicago.
The granddaddy Chicago skyscraper, the Sears Tower is the tallest in North America, standing at 110 stories tall. Needless to say, you get some pretty tremendous views from the Skydeck observatory which is 1,353 feet up (412 meters).
The Hancock Observatory may not be the highest in Chicago, but soaring at 1,000 feet above the Windy City it still offers breathtaking views of the city and lake.
