About the Ritz-Carlton Chicago:

Just the name, "Ritz-Carlton", evokes images of opulence, and while the Ritz-Carlton Chicago is not part of the global chain, it is owned by the Four Seasons -- who of course know a little bit about luxury accommodations themselves -- and lives up to its reputation.

Guest rooms and suites are lavishly decorated, with plush furniture and fine fabrics. All the rooms have over-sized picture windows, taking advantage of the Ritz-Carlton's high vantage point and excellent views. I've personally dealt with the Ritz-Carlton's concierges on a number of occasions, and the service has always been outstanding.

Amenities include: AM/FM/CD stereo, duvets and Italian throws, down pillows, hair dryer, in-room safe, iron and ironing board, minibar, slippers, bathrobes, twice-daily housekeeping, video or DVD player available, WebTV, high-speed Internet, multi-line telephones, speaker phone, voice mail, fax/printer/copier available.
